What matters most to you has a direct impact on your happiness.
For me, it’s discipline, being organized, and finding joy in the smaller, ordinary rhythms of daily life. I have come to realize that days are life, and moments are days.
It took me a lifetime to understand that multitasking—so often celebrated—can be more of a buzzword than a meaningful way of living. For some, it may be a necessity, but for me, it is rarely impactful. In fact, multitasking often contradicts the idea of being fully present in the moment.
Even something as simple as reading or writing with a cup of coffee feels like multitasking. I notice that I end up missing the pure delight of either savoring each sip or losing myself in the magical words before me. And that, to me, feels like a quiet loss—spending time on something but not truly feeling it.
Happiness, I now believe, lives in the fullness of moments.
